Users are required to read them carefully, as the use of the online store and its services, indicates the full consent of users and their unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions may -for any reason and without prior notice- be modified or changed unilaterally by the online store, therefore users must check them regularly for any modifications or changes. The terms and conditions apply to all users, including those who use the services of the online store without being registered or being a subscriber and those who are registered or are subscribers to any of its services.
Online orders
Hook George company enables users to place orders through its online store on www.hookgeorge.com (hereinafter referred to as the “online store”). The product prices on the online store are in Euros and include all applicable taxes/fees. The shipping cost is not included in the prices as it is calculated on the checkout page based on the user’s address, and is automatically added to the cost of the order. The online store may from time to time offer free shipping on its products. In this case the shipping cost is zero and the corresponding indication of free shipping is clearly displayed during the checkout process.
The online store makes every effort to ensure that the descriptions and characteristics of its products are complete and accurate and it is committed to their validity, without prejudice to any human, technical or typographical errors that have escaped attention or have occurred unintentionally or because of any interruption in the operation of the online store due to force majeure. Errors in product descriptions and features, as well as in prices and indications of availability, cannot be ruled out and it cannot be guaranteed that there will be no interruptions in the operation of the online store or human errors in updating its content. The online store invites users to contact its customer service team via email (info@hookgeorge.com) in case they find any incorrect information on the presentation of a product, as well as for any clarification/confirmation/question before placing an order.
Any user of the online store who wishes to place an order can follow the optional process of registering and creating an account on the online store, so that later -after logging in to their account- can be identified by the online store, for faster completion of the order. If the user does not wish to register on the online store, they can place their order as a guest (unregistered user). In any case, the user is bound by the terms and conditions of the online store and it is required to state true, accurate, valid and complete information in the billing and shipping fields required by the online store during the ordering process. If the user’s information is false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, the online store reserves the right -at its sole discretion- to cancel the order, without having any further obligation towards the user. In addition, the online store reserves the right to take any legal action against the user in the event that any -financial or non-financial- damage is caused to it or its associates, due to the provision of false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information by the user.
During the ordering process of the products that the user has chosen, the online store invites the user to declare, in addition to the information required in the personal data fields, that they have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the online store. When the order is submitted to the online store, it is placed in a checking/processing mode, while the user receives an automated email message certifying that their order has been received from the online store. At this stage, the order is not binding on the online store and the automated email that the user receives is not an acceptance of the order or a conclusion of the terms of sale, but a simple notification of its receipt. Upon receipt of the order and provided that the online store verifies the availability of the products, the correctness of the order and the absence of any errors in the pricing of the products, the online store with a new email shall confirm the acceptance of the order and the readiness of the products and only then the sale shall be considered complete. If the ordered products are not available or if they are not available at the listed price, due to incorrect price indication at the time of order placement and its processing, the online store reserves the right not to accept the order, and therefore, not to make the sale – in this case the online store must inform the user and return any payments already made by the user. The processing of orders received by the online store takes place from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00 EET. The processing of orders submitted on weekends and holidays, takes place on the next business day.
In case of subsequent (after the submission of the order by the user) non-immediate availability of a product and/or in case of incorrect indication of availability on the product presentation page due to inadvertence owed to human or technical error, the online store reserves the right to inform the user, who ordered the product, about the possible delivery time. If the user deems that the delay makes the transaction unprofitable, the latter is entitled to unilaterally cancel the order via a written statement by email and the online store must return to the user any payments already made. In case that the non-availability concerns only a part of the products in a single order, the rest of the order shall be executed normally.
The submission of the order by the user to the online store, is a statement of acceptance and consent for all charges included in the order. No modification of the order or new agreement on it will be accepted unless it is made in writing and accepted by both parties. Any delivered products remain the property of the online store until the final, full and complete payment of their price.
The cancellation of the order by the user due to change of mind is accepted only if the products of the order have not yet been invoiced and have not been dispatched for shipment by the online store. Cancellation is made by sending an email to the online store. The user must state the exact details of their order. Cancellation does not occur unless a relevant confirmation email is sent by the online store to the user. In case the user has paid the value of the approved order before the cancellation statement and the online store has already received that payment, then the online store must return the amount received to the user within fourteen (14) days in the same method used during payment.
Although the cancellation of the order by the user is accepted only if the products have not yet been invoiced and/or shipped, the user, in case he has already received the products, can exercise the Right of Withdrawal within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, in case of an individual (consumer), who ordered the products for personal use and not for the service of their business activity (commercial, entrepreneurial, artisanal, professional).

Shipping of orders
The online store makes every effort to ship all orders as soon as possible. However, the shipping/delivery time frame can be affected by factors beyond its control (e.g. public holidays, strikes, extremely bad weather conditions).
The ordered products are delivered from the online store to its external partners for transfer and delivery to the address that the user has provided when submitting their order. The products are received by the person mentioned in the order as the recipient, by presenting his/her ID card or passport or in general a public document suitable for proving their identity. If the user is unable to pick up the order by themselves, but wishes to authorize a third party, then the user must send an email to the online store providing the details of the person who will receive it and supply it to the third party (who will also bring an official identification document) in addition to the relevant, legal authorization. The order cannot be received by a minor (even upon authorization). The collection of the ordered products is done at the address of the external partner (distributor/carrier) of the online store or on the ground floor of the address of the recipient, with no obligation to transfer it to another floor.
After the delivery of the products, every responsibility goes to the recipient of the order; they must unpack and check the products upon their receipt, as by signing upon receipt the user confirms that they have received all the products correctly and in excellent condition. In case a defect is found in a product, the recipient has the right to refuse its receipt and return it to the external partner of the online store, so that the replacement process can proceed as soon as possible.
In case of shipment of non-ordered products, their non-rejection or non-return and the indifference of the recipient of the order is not interpreted in any case as their consent, acceptance or declaration of intent to purchase them. In case the user is asked by the online store to return them and they delay to deliver the products for more than five (5) business days, then their refusal constitutes a statement of intent to purchase the products and the products are considered sold to the user and the latter owes to pay their value to the online store.
Return of products
Any product return is performed at the expense of the online store in case of products other than the ordered ones are delivered (by type or quantity), in case that the delivered product has damaged packaging (in whole or in part) and in case it is found that the product has a manufacturing defect (provided that this is confirmed by Hook George company). Furthermore, in case the product is considered defective upon delivery.
Depending on the case, the product must be repaired or replaced, otherwise the order is canceled, provided that the user who submitted it legally rejects the two previous options, in which case, given that the product has been previously received and examined by Hook George, in case of cancellation, the online store shall return to the user any payments already made, no later than fourteen (14) business days in the same method used during payment.
The return of any product to be replaced must be accompanied with all the documents and its complete packaging, unless it is a product with a defect that was found later after delivery and the packaging does not exist or in a case of a product the packaging of which was omitted by the external partner of the online store (distributor/carrier) upon delivery of the product. Each product must be returned in the condition received by the recipient of the order within ten (10) calendar days of the date of delivery. Any delay on the part of the recipient of the order is justified only for reasons of force majeure, otherwise the right of replacement is dismissed. In case a product is returned damaged, used or incomplete, the online store has the right to request compensation from the recipient of the order (the amount of which will be determined by the current status of the product) and the right to unilaterally make a total or partial set-off of his claim by the recipient of the order. The return of products is made upon written consultation of the recipient of the order with the online store, either by members of the personnel of the online store or through an external partner of the online store. The replacement of products by the online store shall take place within fourteen (14) business days.
It is important and a requirement that when returning goods from countries other than EU, the user must complete a customs declaration form as “returned unwanted goods with nil value”. The online store does not accept any liability for subsequent charges incurred such as Import Duty and processing costs due to inadequate marking of the returned package.
Right of withdrawal
If the user who placed an order for a product in the online store is an individual (consumer) who placed the order for personal use and not for the service of their business activity (commercial, entrepreneurial, artisanal, professional), then they are entitled to withdraw without justification from the sale within 14 calendar days (which start from the date of delivery of the product to them), and return the product to the online store in its original condition with all the accompanying documents and its packaging, charged with return costs and any reduction in the value of the product. Sending the user withdrawal statement within 14 calendar days or sending the product will be considered sufficient for the timely exercise of the right of withdrawal. The user withdrawal statement must be sent in writing by email. The receipt of the user’s withdrawal statement shall be confirmed by email sent by the online store to the email address the user has stated. The return of the product is accepted, only if the user has first paid any amount charged to the online store for sending the product to him, as well as the shipping costs for the return of the product to the online store.
Following the declaration of withdrawal, the online store must return to the user the price received for the sale of the product, after previously receiving and checking the product for any damage due to the fault of the user or handling that exceeds what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics or function of the product. The product must be returned to the online store within fourteen (14) calendar days, at the expense of the user and with a cooperating courier service of the online store, at the address indicated by the online store. The online store must return to the user the selling price of the product within fourteen (14) calendar days from the return of the product. The refund will be made in the same method as it was paid in the online store by the user, unless otherwise agreed with them.
The user is responsible for any reduction in the value of the product and must compensate the online store, in the case and to the extent that this reduction is due to the handling of the product in a way other than the usual inspection of the product, that is, the one which is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics or function of the product. As usual inspection and handling of the product in order to determine its nature, characteristics or function, is meant the examination of the product as it may take place in a physical store. Therefore, the user may be charged with reducing the value of the product, if the handling of the product exceeds the acceptable methods. The online store is not responsible if the product has been damaged due to the fault of the user and the withdrawal will not be processed in this case.
It is expressly agreed and the user already provides the irrevocable consent to this, that the online store is entitled to deduct from the refund the return costs, which are borne by the user as well as any compensation in case of destruction, wear or damage to the product or reduction of the value of the product due to the user’s actions. The online store, in any case, is entitled to claim in any legal way any amount charged on it (indicatively, either in relation to return costs or in case of destruction, wear or damage, reduction of the value of the product, etc.) and it is entitled to withhold part of the price and to offset any loss resulting from a reduction in the value of the product with the refund amount in the event of withdrawal.

General terms and conditions

The use of the online store is limited to persons who are above the age of 18 years. By using the online store the user declares that is not a minor (i.e. below 18 years of age). Persons under the age of 18 should not access or use the online store, its content and its services.
The online store reserves the right to change the prices of its products and their shipping costs, without prior notice or notification to users. It also reserves the right to change or withdraw any part (or all) of www.hookgeorge.com and/or its affiliated sites and applications at any time without notice.
Each user who is registered and has an account on the online store is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and its non-disclosure to third parties. In case of loss or disclosure of the password, the user should immediately notify the online store, otherwise the online store is not responsible for the use of the password by an unauthorized person. The online store advises every registered user, for security reasons, to change their password at regular intervals and to avoid using the same password or an easily traceable password (for example, date of birth). It also suggests the use of letters and numbers in combination with symbols, so as to create a strong password.

Users have the sole responsibility for paying the relevant fees. The rights of the users deriving from the provisions on the sale of consumer goods and guarantees of the Civil Code, Article 5 of Law 2251/1994, as well as from any other provision on consumer protection, are valid as in force. Users’ claims for compensation or monetary satisfaction of any nature and legal basis are excluded. In the same way, claims of users for damage to health, life and physical integrity are also excluded. User’s responsibility
